Make Believe Solutions Inc. provides unique aspects of entertainment to public, private and corporate sectors holding such special events as conferences, conventions, workshops, banquets, receptions, seminars and presentations. Ranging from a basic artist booking to a full-length weekend of diversified entertainers, Make Believe can provide an itinerary for any occasion. One-to-one consultation with the client determines his needs, goals and objectives required for each event. Deliberate consideration is then taken in choosing the most appropriate professional performers to bridge the needs of the employer, employees, associates, stakeholders, members, students, and such. In depth consultation with each client concerning innovative solutions to specific problems can be resolved in what others perceive as fune entertainment. A theatrical presentation, for instance, may convey new ways of looking at staff motivation, conflict resolution, productivity, wellness in the workplace, product sales, customer service, etc. While bridging the employer's goals and objectives, audience members are rewarded with a lasting impression of a live production. Why does live theatre have this dramatic effect? Simply stated, a play, especially improvisational theatre, is interactive. It appeals in an ambience of fun and laughter, without threat or coercion. It appeals to all sense simultaneously. It demonstrates rather than explains - certainly a more memorable means of learning new techniques as opposed to traditional lectures.
The director holds a degree in Recreation Administration with specialization in Arts and Culture. This educational foundation ensures that clients are receiving reputable professional planners; the company also incorporates a business philosophy that ensures that the needs of the clients are first and foremost. Make Believe Solutions Inc. is not an inward-looking company that measures its success by (hard) selling a quantity of products or programs, but rather, reaches outward to the needs of the organization before any customized planning commences. Success then, is measured in terms of quality service.
Having an accumulated 15 years of program planning experience, most notably in the meeting planners and the arts industries, our planners have obtained expertise working in the local arts community, especially improvisational theatre. With such expertise, Make Believe Solutions Inc. is able to provide customized solutions for each event, in addition to offering competitive rates via acquired negotiating skills and networking. Following consultation and arranging of performing artists, planning may entail proposal writing, contract negotiations, networking with proprietors of specific venues, full technical support, artist marketing, follow/up evaluation and more.

Deanna Vath has a diverse career. She holds Bachelor of Arts in Recreation Administration specializing in Arts and Recreation. She has held a position as a Program Assistant for Alberta Culture and Multiculturalism in the Performing Arts Branch, where she was in contact with professional performing arts all over the world. |
She has also worked within the arts community as a Program Assistant for the Citadel Theatre and established the first tour coordinator position for Rapid Fire Theatre. One of her many accomplishments was initiating the first theatre production for the Provincial Museum of Alberta.
Her planning background includes being a conference consultant whereby she successfully planned all aspects of large conferences, banquets, reunions, with up to 800 participants in the private and public sectors. She also planned the Terry Fox Run, and regional playoffs for the Alberta Summer Games.
